All fans will design an important new appointment to be set on for next autumn, or the week design of Istanbul in Turkey.

After the success of past seasons, the Istanbul Design Week 2008 is proposed as one of the most important events in the Euro-Asian and obtain a consensus even wider for the first time the event will be organized and operated by Design in Turkey, a joint venture between Dream Design Factory (dDf) and DesignPartners, combining vibrant energy of Turkish culture to Italy.

Dream Design Factory (dDf) is a communications company with offices in Istanbul and London specializing in the field of design while dDf is the organizer of historic Istanbul Design Week. The joint venture aims to create a new format, which opens borders, expands, exceeds the boundaries of the territory, along the lines of ZonaTortona Design: Istanbul Design Week 2008 will be a local event with international perspective.

An opportunity for companies to present their products and activities to an international audience, in a modern country with an economy in sharp ascent. Istanbul, a meeting point between different traditions, will be European Capital of Culture in 2010.

Motion is the new modular system of flexible shelving, designed by sculptor and designer Elisabeth German Lux for the company Pastoe of Utrecht. Presented at the Salone del Mobile 08, Motion is a system of containers on wheels, the design simple and straightforward, offering a wealth of variations for accommodation and use.

E ‘consists of two, three or four different elements of depth and height, available in seven colors clear, selected by the artist and inspired the frescoes of Italian churches, plus the 66 colors of the collection Pastoe, with the option of contrasting colours . The archetypal form and eclectic is enriched by wheels and hinges, placed so that seem to be no feeling and the intimate and suggestive evidence that when the mobile opening unfolds so enveloping.

The Myto chair designed by German designer Konstantin Grcic for Plank, presented a preview at the S alone del Mobile 2008 became the protagonist of a cantilever Myto Chair, careful documentation on the process of sitting.

The publication of no less than 80 pages, edited by Mike Meire that is a story in three chapters, told by illustrations, diagrams, interviews and a photo taken care dall’olandese Vivian assen.

Three chapters dedicated to partners BASF, KGID and PLANK, who edited the project and the realization of Myth and the punctual description of the creation of a myth, which has already joined the permanent collection of MoMA in New York.

When I see objects of this type, characterized by a degree of functionality so high, I think the designer concerned that more designers should be called genius.

Indeed, dWM24 Sombrero ™, the reducer and blocks threads from the table (if so it can be defined) is a product manufactured by Wire Manager and designed by the New York Andrea Ruggiero.

A small plastic object that can be fixed to the bottom of the table and that allows you to wrap, establish and keep grouped cables elettici that are at the top of the table.
