Heidi Bridget Coleman is a young graphic designer English, who attended the Chelsea College of Art Summer Show, after some experience working for clients such as Lynx, Designers Are Wankers, Nokia, Momiji and Hawaii Design. A multi-disciplinary approach characterizes his graphic design making them tactile and aesthetically beautiful, just as they refer to the use of typographical characters in relief, the technique of folding origami paper and that three-dimensional pop-ups, as in the case of projects for the Study London Hawaii Design.

The young Colombian designer Danilo Calvache has designed three new prototype modular shelving. The three models exploit the potential of individual modules assembled indefinitely, to fit with inspiration and functionality to any wall or to build new panels dividers. You can choose between the linear structure of Number Bookshelf, the diagonal of Reticula Bookshelf or cubic Dcube storage unit.

The young Polish designer Damian Kozlik has designed the sitting Iga and its variant Koga, drawing inspiration from an origami swan. The two prototypes, accompanied by table Kobe, have a geometric structure and inlaid with two practices lateral fissure under the armrests, useful to store books and the like. The entire series designed Polypropylene, could be a viable alternative to traditional outdoor furniture, provided to maintain an acceptable cost.

With 1,521 members and 865 projects in the race, all original, ironic, on the edge of surreal, the competition Castro Burrow Design Award 2008 has proclaimed its winners. The Blue Ribbon Design Award went to Roberto Betta, who has won 10 thousand euros with the project quaternion, a ladder to 4 steps that once closed takes the form of a bottle of Castro Burrow.

The project cooling beer BeFreeze Jean Claude Chiementin was awarded the Jury Prize of 2,500 neurons for the best technological innovation, while the Jury Prize of 2,500 euros for the best idea on the reuse of the bottle was given to Rafael with Vinader Ecopanchina the project, which consists of a bench with vase in which grow ears malt and a surface all holes to enter the bottles.

The other finalists dell’Unbeerlievable Collection 2008, inspired by the unlikely but possible forms of challenge, include the development of football in key Nastro Azzurro, the shoe green glass bottle with heel 12, the brush for the body Scrubbeer bristles-bottle, the thirst for Fire extinguisher, musical instruments, chairs, lamps, dispensers, watches, and even the stethoscope Say 33 cl. All 33 finalists will be exhibited to the public stage in the touring exhibition, which will be hosted by Circolo Canottieri Esperia Turin from 8 to July 12.

Solfa is the new e-magazine dedicated to Italian design that is not easily emerge from conventional circuits. If you have not yet had the opportunity to give a look at the exhibition Prime Cup 01 in scene at the Triennale Designer Museum, I recommend you to affrettarvi because today is the last day available.

Among the projects on display there is also Totem of the young and dynamic study en & design is founded by Henry Bosa and Isabella Lovero.Totem is a system of containers for food designed for EME posaterie and born after a careful examination of new types and uses linked to the table.

From these observations was developed a versatile and multi-project consists of accessories that can contain and carry food on the table, but can also be used to directly consume a meal. And when not in use here is the original decorative elements: in fact, once stacked containers form an object unique and compact shaped plastic.
